"While on a camping trip in Montana many years ago we came across several grouse feeding by the side of the road. As we stopped to take photos, two of them simply flew into  the nearby trees and perched there - almost as though they were curious about what we were doing.  The way they were turning their heads from side to side watching us made me want to capture that look on canvas. 

So here it is -   a painting of one curious grouse!"
